Fancy taking a llama for a walk?
In conjunction with South West Lakes Trust we are able to provide Llama Walks around the Tamar Lakes.
A walk around the Upper Lake is about 3 miles and will take about 2 hours… at llama speed!
We’ll start off with a cup of tea/coffee where we’ll go through the basics and pair you up with a llama, we’ll then head off around the lakes at a gentle pace taking in the views, wildlife and interacting with the llamas as they stop and munch the hedgerows and nibble the odd bit of grass. Please note that there are no “facilities” once we are off and running and whereas the llamas may stop to relieve themselves, no such luxury for the human members of the party!
At various suitable points around the Lake we will stop for photo opportunities and allow the llamas to assist the Trust in cutting back its hedgerows!
Once back, depending on the time of day, and once the llamas are rested it’s time for a cup of tea and a snack – cream tea, slice of cake, sandwich or just a biscuit – and a chance to catch up and review your day!
In total a 3 hour session – prices from £45 per person (reductions for children under 15)!
Notes: Children must be accompanied by an adult and be older than 10 years old – llamas cannot be held responsible for not seeing small children
Notes: Whilst the walk is fairly flat and on a good surface, stout walking boots or trainers are advised! These types of footwear also help protect your feet from the occasional llama footprint!
Notes: It is essential to book with plenty of notice to avoid disappointment – we have plenty of things to do to keep us busy!
Not sure about the full walk – check out our experience page – fun but a bit more hectic!
